Bethesda deliver their latest Terminator licence - and surprise, surprise, it's a bit Quake-esque. Alia - or is it? Well, SkyNETs got loads of stuff that the big hasn't. Controllable vehicles? You betcha. Bit more interested now, aren't you?

Two singleplayer, and one multiplayer level in this demo - oh, and check out the keyboard commands before you start, because they're a little 'unconventional' (ie. not identical to Doom's). Posh computer owners may wish to select the 640x480 resolution before they begin, because it looks far prettier in that mode.

The Terminator: SkyNET is an action shooter about the famous robot Terminator. Have you always dreamed of confronting an army of killer machines? No? The killer robots on your doorstep are not much interested in your desires. Take up arms and defend the world of people from the machines that humanity itself has created.

Eight levels. Eight levels of fierce struggle for the freedom of humanity. Complete missions and lead humanity to victory. Your hero is a mere mortal, a member of the resistance against a mob of mad machines.

Robots, Radiation, and Transportation

Levels are divided conventionally and represent different terrains. Some of them are hard to get into because of the high radiation levels. Experienced players of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are not afraid of such threats, as well as special equipment that will be issued in such areas. You can move between levels in three ways:

• On your faithful feet
• On combat vehicles. Armored jeeps and tanks at your service.
• Special NK air terminators. The fighter has no intelligence of its own, you should not be afraid to use it.

Metal Collector or Steel Assassin

A distinctive new feature is Deathmatch mode. Armored, slow terminators that make metallic noises as they walk. Or fast, stealthy, and weak humans. Fight through ghastly scrap metal and meat sacks of bones with other players in cooperative mode.
