Game Overview
Magic Ball 2 is a three-dimensional arcade game. Control the platform and try to aim the ball precisely at the colored blocks. The rich colors and visible pixels will remind you of the times when arcade machines were the main entertainment.
Gameplay
A distinctive feature of the game remains the three-dimensional field. Usually, the action of arcanoids takes place in two-dimensional space. For example, in INV, the blocks look like a wall hanging in the air, which is smashed by a flying ball. In Magic Ball 2, some blocks can't even be seen until the ones covering them are destroyed. Also, the ball is able to destroy the supports of buildings, then instead of one block will fall several. Despite the three-dimensional design, bonuses from the blocks fall anyway. The bonuses can be very different:
- Increasing the number of balls
- Reducing the speed of the ball, or increasing
- A fireball that sets all blocks on fire, except those with water
- Cannonball, which destroys several blocks at once
The three-dimensional space allows developers to get creative. Each level is made in the form of different shapes, some can even move. For example, a level-field where animated cows graze while you destroy blocks with their food. Or level-iceberg, where penguins dance near the Christmas tree of blocks. You will not see this in the standard 2D Arkanoid.
Magic Ball 2 - representative of the genre of "arkanoid", which has tried not only to complicate the system of knocking down blocks but also to diversify the levels.
