Game Overview

Pokémon Sun and Moon is a game based on the internationally adored animated Pokemon universe with new gameplay mechanics and an idyllic location. The unique visual style of Pokémon Sun and Moon is inspired by the paradise region of Hawaii.

Details

Pokémon Sun and Moon is certainly a new generation game, but still retains the old traditions and principles - the player catches Pokémons, improves them and battles other pocket monster trainers to take the championship, to become the best on earth.

Of the innovations, the land from the previous games has been replaced by a group of islands called Alola, inspired by Hawaii. The plants, the sea, the clothing, the culture are all from that area.

The world became familiar with Pokémon long ago. Since then, many children have stuck to the screen. Kids watch as Ash Ketchum tosses out a Pokéball and Pikachu electrocutes everyone. Pokémon Sun and Moon takes the best of old games and adapts them to modern realities.

The player will enter the favorite dream of an office worker:

  • Palm trees swaying
  • Hot white sand
  • Exotic plants

During the adventure, the player will see volcanoes, high snow-capped mountains and a wonderful garden.

Gameplay

All your favorite Pokémon are in the starting lineup:

  • Bulbasaur
  • Bidrill
  • Spirow
  • Rattata
  • Nidorina

Several new monsters are available to the player, such as Pikipek.

Build pockets full of pokéballs to use in battle later. Fight against champions and earn badges. You can pump strong and weak Pokémon. Gameplay allows you to buy additional items for battles: potions, goodies, cards that improve speed and strength. Items can be traded on the in-game market.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will appeal to fans of other games in the series, like Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Pokémon X and Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire or Pokémon Sword and Shield. The smooth animations and atmosphere of the new location, made on a modern visual engine will please the crankiest eyes. Innovations are good, but nobody cancelled the fascinating battles built on the old principle.
