Game Overview

Super Mario Bros. - is an old-school 2D action-platformer about a plumber in love, Luigi, who valiantly goes to the villain's lair to rescue his beloved.

Beginning

For the reader who decided to get out from under a giant rock and had never heard of technology, let's talk about Super Mario Bros. 1987 on Nintendo. Super Mario Bros. was the best-selling game for twenty years after its release. The popularity of the game made a name for the character Mario, although he had previously appeared in the 1981 Donkey Kong arcade, where he was called "The Jumper."

Gameplay

The player will run from the left side of the level to the right, jumping over the heads of enemies along the way. The user's task is to survive and save Princess Peach while traveling through the Mushroom Kingdom. As you know, this princess is in another castle, so Mario will have to go through no less than eight worlds. Bowser, the main villain, sends his henchmen out to stop Mario. The protagonist attacks enemies by jumping on them from above or below, attacking the block on which the enemy stands. Some turtles may become frightened and hide inside their shells, they can be launched forward. Mario will encounter aggressive porcupines and predatory plants. Along the way, Mario collects power-ups by hitting blocks with a question mark, as well as searching for secret coin vaults in the brick walls. Collect gold coins to trade for extra lives. For each successful maneuver the player receives points, there is no practical use of points, but you can set records to enjoy their own agility in the video game.

The gameplay of Super Mario Bros. shows how addictive simple two-dimensional action games can be, provided the level design is well thought out.

There are only three lives to get through the game, and if that doesn't work, you can start over. The modern Nintendo version of the game gives you the option to save yourself rather than start over.
