The Lord of The Rings: The Battle For Middle-Earth II

The Lord of The Rings: The Battle For Middle-Earth II is a real-time strategy game based on Tolkien's famous novel The Lord of the Rings, where the player chooses which side to be on: with the forces of Good or the forces of Darkness.

Plot

The Mediterranean is on the brink of an abyss. The free peoples fight against the tyrannical army of Sauron. The Council of Elron adopts a battle plan to destroy Sauron. The game welcomes the player with a cool cutscene that instantly creates the atmosphere of The Lord of the Rings. Next, the player chooses a side: help the dwarves, hobbits, and elves and destroy Sauron, or lead the faceless blacks of evil. The "good campaign" story begins with the player needing to take the scepter in his hand and take the elves to safety. The villains' first mission begins with the orcs' task of destroying the city of elves.

Gameplay

The campaign contains eight large missions, the difficulty of which increases as you approach the finale. One level is about thirty minutes long. Between levels the player is sure to watch a quality cutscene. Each mission is divided into a primary and a secondary, optional task.

The player strategizes and builds bases to generate weapons and new warriors. Fortifications consist of walls and towers.

The player can build up an army based on the number of commander's points. Each unit consumes a certain number of points. If these points come to an end, the player can no longer create troops until the time is up. Building additional resource buildings or fortresses increases the number of points available.

Types of units:

• Infantry. Goes into direct confrontation with the enemy.
• Soldiers with a bow. Fire arrows, preferably placed farther away from the enemy
• Soldiers with spears. Work at a medium distance.
• Cavalry. Very agile unit that quickly comes to the rescue
