Game Overview
The Simpsons: Hit & Run is a three-dimensional open-world action game where Homer from The Simpsons will run around his hometown looking for exciting adventures.
Original source
The Simpsons is an iconic animated series. At the time of writing this review, as many as (attention!) 34 seasons have already been released. “The Simpsons” is the longest running cartoon in American history. The Simpsons predicted terrible things:
- The Trump presidency
- The Ebola epidemic
- Coronavirus pandemic
You don't have to think that the cartoon creators are prophets - they made a lot of episodes. The Simpsons make fun of human stupidity, stereotypes, and patterns of behavior. This content reflects reality in a comical way.
Gameplay
The Simpsons: Hit & Run retains the proverbial sarcasm and irony. It makes fun of people's stupidity and stereotypes. The game is set in the city of Springfield, just like in the original cartoon. Local landmarks are preserved, which fans will quickly recognize.
The gameplay of The Simpsons: Hit & Run is similar to GTA. The story consists of seven levels. There are three daytime levels and three nighttime levels. To get to the next level, you have to complete mandatory missions. Homer will:
- Break objects
- Build objects
- Fight with robots
- Drifting his car
- Collect hidden gold coins (with the money you can dress up well or buy vehicles to continue the bacchanal)
Example task: "Overtake Skinner (school principal) on your way to school and give Lisa her science project. As you can see, there are other characters involved in the gameplay - it would be boring to see Homer alone.
In one day, you can get through the game completely. If you solve all the secrets and win all the achievements, it will take two or three days to pass.
The Simpsons: Hit & Run is a good game with colorful graphics and all the things cartoon fans love. Minus in the game is: the camera moves too fast, sometimes stupid, and prevents you from controlling the character. Another minus - the levels are too easy to pass, and the complexity and drive are obviously not enough. We recommend it to the fans of Spider-Man 2 and The Simpsons Wrestling.
