V Rising

V Rising is a vampire survival game set in a gothic horror world that sold over a million and a half copies in two weeks. The player lives the vampire version of the American dream deep into the night: the journey from homeless slob to powerful ruler in a giant castle. The dream is accessible to everyone--you can see the results with every true step. The player is constantly on the lookout for power or resources. The vampire must assert power in every corner of the world to succeed.

Map

Bare trees and many graveyards make the world look beautiful and creepy. The armor and weapons look beautiful, too. Many call V Rising an improved Castlevania with an open world. The locations are a joy to behold:

• Misty trails and dense forests
• A bandit's camp or a forgotten cemetery
• Dormant villages and giant cathedrals
• Fertile fields and a large city straight out of medieval Transylvania

Gameplay

The player will have his own castle. This is where you can safely be reborn. The stronger the vampire becomes, the more he builds the castle and the more abilities he gains. Initially, the castle will only have a few rooms, a tomb, and a stove to melt stone. Over time, your home will grow into a gigantic and majestic palace complex: huge gothic stained glass windows, a room for the servants and a detached forge, and a library.

There are V-Creatures slumbering all over the world - powerful bosses that must be defeated for further character development. Battles are nothing special - the player hits with a weapon and alternate blows with spells or superattacks. Use different types of weapons to turn the battles in your favor. Throw a scythe or make a sword swivel attack, variety is the trump card.
