Bookworm Adventures

Bookworm Adventures is a simple and clever puzzle game where the player will choose the right words from the individual letters so that a green-skinned worm wearing glasses will progress alive through a world full of dangerous fairies and centaurs. The game is suitable for people with a good English vocabulary.

Character

The game hints from the title that you'll have to think with your head. The main character's name is Lex. He looks like he stepped off a cartoon screen:

• Round-rimmed glasses with lenses that magnify his eyes
• The red butterfly of the intellectual
• A sly smile

Gameplay

Lex has been battling characters and creatures from popular books for years. The player gathers the right word from the sixteen letters and Lex attacks. The longer the word, the more powerful the attack. Rare letters, such as Z or X, are more important than the usual N or E. Such letters are colored in a special color that includes superpowers. Blue letters will freeze your opponent, while green ones will replenish your health. You can take a companion friend for a "chapter," each of which gives improvements, such as Mother Goose gives you a free health potion every four turns.

If the player is fluent in English, Bookworm Adventures offers a great opportunity to refresh your vocabulary. The game is not suitable for language learning, as you will have to search for words entirely on your own.

Vulgar words are forbidden. If the player has put a word like "Penis" together, the game suddenly refuses to accept it.
