I Wanna Be the Boshy

I Wanna Be the Boshy is a heavy platformer where the player will become a triangle with an exclamation point and will explore colorful worlds that are filled with references to gaming and internet culture.

Gameplay

It all starts with a short tutorial explaining basic moves: jump, double jump, extreme save, shoot, move. The jumping figure can perform unrealistic maneuvers over long distances thanks to a clever combination of abilities. Only manual dexterity is important, as in Geometry Dash. It is possible to save yourself in the middle of the abyss when the jumping resources have run out. When the player revives, he is again in a dangerous place, but the number of spare jumps resumes. The main thing is to do everything quickly - to save and not to yawn while there is a chasm below (with crocodiles, or maybe lava, no one saw it, everyone was dying).

Location

The two-dimensional location is well thought out:

• Vanishing platforms
• Sharp cogs
• Wobbly obstacles
• Moving elements
• Dangerous creatures, like birds, that chase the main character

At the end of each round the player will face a main boss, a character from one of the popular games: Hello Kitty, Street Fighter, Mario, Biollante, Sonic, Skeleton King, Metal Gear Solid Snake, Mortal Combat, The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon. In the last round, an NPC named Solgryn - the developer, creator of the game - will fight.

Chips

The exterior of the game, without exaggeration, is very cool. Unreal visual effects and solutions were offered by the developers. For example, crazy camera transitions: it spins as in a mixer. When you collide with Mario (the boss of the third round) the screen shakes and blurs. The perspective can flip for a couple of seconds to make it harder for the player to control the character. A sign may pop out, a Nintendo ad. Hell! The scenarios are absolutely schizophrenic. You can never relax and calmly predict what's going to happen next.
