Game Overview

The blue fast-legged hedgehog has pleased more than one generation of players. For all the time of its existence it has managed to change more than one appearance, it is the difference between the versions of the hedgehog that the platformer - Sonic Generations - shows. Nostalgia with the past and look forward to the future with two versions of one owner of fast legs.

You can't eat time

Sonic of yesteryear was once again practicing his run when he saw a new unknown creature, the Time Eater. Sonic of the present was resting peacefully at his birthday party. The celebration and jogging are interrupted by the onset of the Time Eater. The monster has combined past and present and scattered Sonic's frozen friends all over the location. Now the two hedgehogs need to free their friends and bring peace back to the world.

Three eras - two hedgehogs

Sonic Generations is not just another installment in the Sonic series of games. The game was created on the twentieth anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. That's why inside the game you can find three generations of games about the blue hedgehog and his friends:

  • Classic Era ( 1991-1998);
  • Dreamcast Era (1998-2006);
  • Modern era ( 2006-2011);

Differences in One

The eras are reflected mainly in the locations, as there are only two main characters. Or rather one, Sonic, but divided into two versions. The versions are visually different and have a number of different abilities:

  • Sonic of the Classic Era - for this version you can play on locations that resemble the older versions of the game in style. Classic Sonic can also use spin attack and spin dash.
  • Modern Sonic appears on three-dimensional levels and uses sonic boost, homing attack as his main moves.

Friends will always help

Although the main characters are many, but the goal of both hedgehogs is the same - to free his friends from the ice prison and defeat the Time Eater. Freeing their friends is not just a moral obligation, but also a useful cause. Pink-haired Amy can use her hammer to send Sonic into brief flight, and two-tailed Tales can carry Sonic through the sky. Echidna Knuckles is good at treasure digging. The company of friends, like the Sonics themselves, are two, so you can get help at any level.

9

The game is full of Easter eggs and references, so experienced players and fans of the series may shed a tear of nostalgia. However, the game does not stand in the past and uses the gameplay of the newer versions to entertain the player and bring variety. A mix of new and old awaits all blue-needle fans in Sonic Generations.
