Sonic Adventure 2

Sonic Adventure 2 is the second part of the action-platformer about Sonic, where the hero will run at speed through locations filled with Dr. Robotnik's henchmen and treacherous traps. Collect rings, solve puzzles and cross the finish line to save the world.

The story mode is divided into two lines: Hero and Villain. Play on the good side or the bad side. On the light side:

• Sonic. The world's most famous Hedgehog
• Knuckles. The echidna with the spiky fists
• Miles. Foxy with a bifurcated tail that helps him fly

On the dark side is an army of mechanical subordinates, Shadow and Bat Rouge. The bad guys, led by Dr. Eggman, want to subjugate the world.

Plot

Dr. Eggman travels to a prison island in search of a secret weapon he learned about in the diary of his grandfather, the great Dr. Robotnik. His goal is to resume his relative's designs and literally blow up an earth-like planet. Blue Hedgehog is already running to protect all life from destruction.

Gameplay

Each line consists of three types of missions: Sonic and Shadow go through some high-speed 3D platformer, Tales and Eggman use their robots to shoot things, and Knuckles and Rogue must find three pieces of what happened to scatter them around the level.

The player will collect gold rings. A hundred of these jewels gives one extra life to the piggy bank. When an enemy strikes a character, everything in the piggy bank crumbles and you have to collect it all over again.

Problems

The camera controls are an unfinished aspect of Sonic Adventure 2. You can't rotate the perspective up and down, only horizontally. Sometimes it is impossible to understand where the character jumps. You either have to jump blind or lose precious time.

Music

The music is something special. Explosive guitar riffs and a rapper's recitation of Knuckles' character.
