The Road to El Dorado

El Dorado, or a city built entirely of gold. A dream of travelers and explorers, and a legend buried with the legendary pokémon Quetzar. The Ourobos region is a fictional region of the Pokémon universe that is based on the culture and landscape of Latin America. A land of jungle, rivers, and danger slumbering in the dense thicket of the forest.

Greed and Stubbornness

The villainous Northington raves about the myth of the legendary pokémon Quetzar, who once sealed himself along with the Golden City, hiding it from the greedy for profit people. Northington manages to find the burial place of the Golden City, but Quetzar, who has awakened from his sleep, is angry. People haven't changed a bit in his years of sleep, and only a good lesson can change them.

New Pokémon Species

At the same time, the protagonist and his girlfriend Sofia go to Professor Mangrove to get their first pokémon. There are three Pokémon to choose from that do not exist in the original Pokémon universe:

• Foliat, grass-type pokemon
• Kidling, the fire-type pokemon
• Aguade, the hatchling pokemon

These pokémon are called Funmon and there are almost as many of them in the game as there are in the classic version - one hundred and fifty-one. The open world follows the gameplay of the canonical games in the series, most similar to Pokémon Sun and Moon. Wander the vast maps and search for Pokémon in the dense grass of the rainforest.
