Prize Fighter bring new sports realism to your Sega CD. Your opponents are real boxers, recorded specially for the game. Your punches and jabs get real reactions...in real time. The matches take place from your point of view, with a full support team to give you advice and mop the blood from your lip. Take a good one on the chin and you might just find yourself fiat on your back, looking up at the ref.

The bouts in this Digital Pictures production were staged by Ron Stein, the same choreographer who directed the fight scenes in the classic boxing movie Raging Bull and the Rocky films. Compatible with both three- and six-button controllers, this massive two4isc game will floor you. Literally.

• TIP: Use the Training Mode to learn your openings with each fighter.
• TIP: Put lots of your Power Points in your left hand.
• TIP: Don't swing when your opponent dances. You'll wear yourself out early.
• TIP: Weave and bob left and right against lunges. Block against flurries of labs.
• TIP: Beat each boxer at least two or three times before attempting to move up in the ranks.

Mama Said Knock You Out

Playing in first-person perspective, you absorb the sights and sounds of the crowded, noisy, smoke-filled arena. Your gloves are in front of you...and so is your first opponent. Throw a jab. See it connect...in close-up...as your opponent's head snaps track. Hear him growl as he comes back for more. He gives you a right hook. You may just take it and find yourself down on the mat—looking up at the ref as he gives you the count. Power Points

• TIP: Distribute your Power Points at this screen. Keep enough stamina to take some hits and put the majority of your power in your left.
• TIP: You receive two Power Points for every punch you land in the bouts you win. As you become more powerful, pad your stamina and lower your punch power to go the whole three rounds and get in the most hits possible.
• TIP: You get 25 Power Points for every knockdown (including KO) in a winning fight. Try to place enough power in your hands to bring down your opponent a couple of times each round without scoring a KO until the end of the third.
• TIP: There's a 100-Power Point bonus for beating each opponent for the first time. Get it. The Moves
• TIP: To jab left hit Button A; to jab right lap Button C.
• TIP: To hook to the body, press the D-But- ton Left or Right and hit Button A for left and Button B for right.
• TIP: Deliver an uppercut by holding the D-Button Down and hitting Button A for left or button C for right.
• TIP: Bob your way past lunges by tapping the D-Button Left or Right.
