Killer Instinct

Here we are back again with all that is new and upcoming at your local arcade establishment. Midway has an all-new fighter coming out that's sure to quench our MK thirst until number three comes out in '95. Killer Instinct is the second installment in Nintendo's library of games for the Ultra 64 system. The game is one of the most impressive fighting games yet, not only with its unique, digitized characters and graphics, but with its rotating angles, and Neo-Geo-style scrolling. There are many other options that make this game, including a combo meter.

Although it seems a bit too gracious at times (a combo can be attained by doing the same move over and over), there are different levels of combos and names for them, such as Hyper, Master and more. The music is also awesome. Its a collection of different, modern styles like techno and rock 'n' roll. They are following up their successful Mortal Kombat soundtracks with a real kicker!
