Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned

Unfortunately the game that adventure fans had been waiting for turned out to be a disappointment. Whereas the first two titles - which followed the supernatural adventures of writer and part-time occult detective Gabriel Knight - established a strong cult following, this third instalment proved to be clunky, graphically poor and laughable for all the wrong reasons.

Nevertheless, there's still enough in the game to keep die-hard Knightytans amused for a few hours. It could have been so much better, but at the end of the day it's just another nail in the coffin of adventure games.
